The macaron trend has even touched the shores of the Netherlands! We bought a selection of macarons for a dear friend 2 weeks ago to brighten up her hospital visit and to add to a much needed sugar rush. If you live in The Hague head over to Patisserie Jarreau for goodness.

It’s not only America that has this problem. I see a lot of people around me eating ready made meals because they don’t know how to cook. It’s quite shocking. They lack the know how of making an easy spaghetti sauce or even a simple salad. Kids learn quicker and easier so it’s important to get them interested from an early age so that they know how to do it, lead by example – cook for life.

Tunisian Liquid Gold

I hope to be able to visit some farms in Tunisia this summer & now even more after seeing this video. What a great story and you can really see that they love what they do. The end product is made with love!

Tuna Salad

2 tins tuna with olive oil
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 small onion finely chopped
1 granny smith apple chopped
salt and pepper

Drain tuna and place in a bowl, add onion, apple and salt and pepper to taste and mix well. Make the tuna in advance and it will only taste better. Serve on a brown bread roll with iceberg lettuce.
